Loveland is an autonomous municipality that is the second-most populous city in Larimer County. The city is located in the Colorado Front Range region at the foot of the foothills, east of the Big Thompson River Canyon estuary, at the junction of US Highway 34 and US Highway 287. Longs Peak and other Front Range mountains are visible from most of the city. Lake Loveland is within the city limits and is a recreational facility for the city’s residents.
The Fort Collins-Loveland metropolitan area has received numerous awards as a great place to live from Money Magazine, USA Today, AARP the Magazine, and more. There is a large artist population in Loveland, attracted by three foundries, an art museum, and the annual sculpture shows in August. The city is Northern Colorado‘s prime business hub.
